School District of Philadelphia deploys huge wifi network.

The School District of Philadelphia a network consisting of more than 7,000 Meru Networks Radio Switches providing wireless Internet access at every school in the district. The project is a joint effort of Avaya and Meru Networks, which deployed more than 7,000 Meru Networks Radio Switches – the equivalent of 14,000 wireless access points and more than 28,000 radios. Avaya provides SDP with communications applications and services and was the system integrator for the project, along with H. J. Heinz Company.
