I’ve just found out that from the 6th to 14th of May 2009 is the EU SME week. This much under-publicized event is “a campaign to promote entrepreneurship across Europe and to inform entrepreneurs about support available for them at European, national and local level. It allows SMEs to discover an array of information, advice, support and ideas to help them develop their activities.” (quote from the website).
There will be a number of events all over Europe with 16 events in Ireland. Most of these appear to be organised together with the various Enterprise boards. As most of my contacts in the SME sector hadn’t heard of this event I hope that this blogpost will create some awareness. I’ve also asked if someone from the Irish organisation can attend the Limerick Open Coffee Club on May 7th.
Full details of all related events in Ireland can be found here.
